Q: Where are you from?
A: Springfield, IL
Q: What is your year/major? Have you studied anywhere besides Clemson?
A: Senior Fine Arts major concentrating in Ceramics at Clemson. I have also studied in Beijing, China; Florence, Italy; Krakow, Poland; New York University, and University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
Q: How long have you been making art and why do you do it?
A: My whole life, and I do it because I need to, it’s how I make sense of life.
Q: What themes do you pursue as an artist?
A: Cultural themes and themes that deal with history and ancestry.
Q: What do you like about your work? In general and for the selected piece?
A: I enjoy the combination of colors and the combination of textures that the use of layering and wax resist provides.
Q: What are you most excited about for this CSA season? What do you hope to gain by joining us as a share artist?
A: I am excited about the ability to have my work combined with other fantastic artists so that we can share our work with the shareholders. I love every step of the process and am excited to move from a team member to a share artist for this next season.
