BFA Visual Art, BA Psychology, Clemson University, 2021

Q: What year are you at Clemson and what is your dream job after you graduate?
A:
I am a third-year undergrad psychology and art student. I hope to get an Art Therapy degree after I graduate from Clemson. My dream job is to become an art therapist working with young children.

Q: How would you describe your design aesthetic/ style?
A:
My artwork often time shows a critical view of social, political, and cultural aspects of society. I love using black & white film, but I began to include colors in past semesters into my photography. Colors can be interesting to play with, and can make a big impact on the audience’s mood.

Q: What do you love most about being an artist?
A: I get to express my feelings, my view, my ideas in my work.

Q: What are your inspirations? In general, and for the selected piece.
A:
The environment and atmosphere have great influence in my work. I get my ideas from the people, objects, and events around me.

Q: What piece of work or project are you most proud of and why?
A:
All my work. I always surprise myself with different ideas I am coming up with. I always try my best to show my maximum abilities in my finished work.

Q: What are you most excited about for this CSA season?
A:
To look at other share artist’s work.

Q: What are some other art related internships, demonstrations, gallery showings, or publications you have been involved with?
A:
I interned at Bennett Graphic in Tucker, Georgia summer of 2018.
My past photography work was exhibited at Converse College, Greenville Technical College, the CIA Juried Exhibition contest and Drexel University in 2017. I was a finalist in the photographer’s Forum Photography Contest, and the same work was also featured in ArtField Jr.’s South Carolina Art Festival.
