Lauren Bradshaw
MFA, Clemson University, 2021 Q: What year are you at Clemson and what is your dream job after you graduate? A: I am a first year MFA candidate and after graduation plan to pursue a position in academia or a long-term artist residency. Q:How would you describe your design aesthetic/ style? A: I have in interest in cycles of growth and decay found in both industrial and natural environments. Q: What do you love most about being an artist? A: I love being able to overcome obstacles, make work I feel strongly about, and share it with others. Q: What are your inspirations? In general and for the selected piece. A: I take inspiration from industrial architecture, organic forms found in nature, and representations of life cycles and temporality. Q: What piece of work or project are you most proud of and why? A: Last semester, I created a large-scale modular sculpture that utilized many skills that I had never attempted before. A: It will be my first experience with the organization so I am just excited to see what it’s all about. A: My work has been exhibited in over a dozen juried shows and I have been published in APERO Fine Arts Catalogue. See some of Lauren's previous work below! |
