Clemson Community Supported Art (CSArt) is seeking Clemson student artists for the 2020 Spring Share!
After launching the inaugural share package in fall 2014, Clemson Community Supported Art is getting ready for its 6th year & 8th "share" of local art sponsorship and distribution. Visual Arts majors and minors are eligible to apply to the open call jury process, which closes on December 10, 2020. The juror for Spring 2020 is Elizabeth Goddard, Executive Director of Spartanburg Art Museum since 2013 and former curator of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, MI. In the spring Elizabeth will visit us, and hold a seminar-like Q&A lunch meeting with all share artists and my CSArt CI Team students.
Application Due Date – DECEMBER 10, 2019 @ 5pm by email ([email protected])
Artists are encouraged to submit up to 2 proposed designs to be reviewed by the juror. Proposals must be emailed as JPEG files (LastName_FirstName_Title_1) with a caption list including the following information:
-Material
-Size
-Date
-Accompanying notes / explanation (if any needed)
Please ensure that the quality of the images is at a high standard. Images should be saved at 300ppi and no larger than 2000 pixels in any direction.
Selected artists will be notified after January 1, 2020. Commission for selected works will be provided upon delivery, after quality inspection of items. Each artist will be asked to submit 2 additional pieces for Clemson CSA(rt) to use for promotion efforts.
